Med Records Specialist - (256279)
Fulfills a variety of functions related to maintaining a complete and accurate medical record for both inpatient and outpatient episodes of care. Utilizes a variety of software applications to electronically review and validate patient documents which include patient identification/ verification, document indexing, document validation. Performs quality review and verification of accurate processing of electronic documents to the correct patient electronic records.. Provides reports and documentation for tracking record completion or document/record reconciliation activities. Maintains and respects the confidentiality of highly sensitive and private health information. Works as a team to complete tasks that are time sensitive.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Associate's Degree Health Information Management Preferred
Experience
General Experience and knowledge of medical terminology Preferred
General Experience in a clerical role in a hospital setting Preferred
