We are seeking talented individuals who support our vision and strategic plan that encompasses “A Culture of Excellence in ALL We Do.” Job Summary Job Summary The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking detail-oriented, systems-focused professionals with strong experience in purchasing and contract administration for the position of Procurement Analyst. This role is responsible for issuing and managing contracts, processing purchase orders, and preparing formal solicitations (RFPs/Bids) in compliance with public procurement laws. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of legal and regulatory requirements under the Public Contract Code, coupled with the ability to analyze procurement data and make informed, data-driven recommendations. Under general direction, supports procurement processes by managing and enhancing procurement-related systems; conducts complex data analysis and reporting related to contract administration and purchasing to support decision-making; provides technical support, training, and guidance on procurement systems and conducts preliminary reviews of procurement documents and contracts. Education: A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 24 semester or 36 quarter units in business administration, contract administration, contract law, public finance, or other field closely related to the job requirements of the classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Experience: Two years of experience in purchasing, contract administration and managing procurement-related software systems, including compiling and analyzing data to make recommendations for procuring a wide variety of services or materials. Additional Requirements: A valid California driver’s license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites may be required. Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff, LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
