The Senior Procurement Analyst works directly with the Strategic Sourcing Director, to implement Covenant Living’s vendor strategy. This includes writing RFPs for new vendor bids, implementing new vendors across all Covenant Living communities, and collaborating with current vendors to update formularies and to identify cost reduction opportunities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate directly with assigned vendors to manage formularies, resolve delivery and payment issues, resolve quality issues, and analyze key performance indicators to identify and implement cost savings opportunities.
  • Write RFPs and guide the vendor selection process with key stakeholders, ultimately selecting and implementing new national vendors.
  • Hold periodic business reviews with assigned vendors to review supplier metrics, service standards, formulary, and new collaboration opportunities.
  • Grow additional savings opportunities, such as rebates, prompt pay discounts, and product changes.
  • Drive actions for poor performing suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain formularies for key spend areas to drive consistency, quality, and pricing of items used across the organization.
  • Work with Group Purchasing Organizations to identify new vendor opportunities where appropriate.
  • Implement contract renewals in conjunction with legal for designated vendors.

Community Operations:

  • Measure and monitor compliance with developed formularies to ensure all company locations are successfully using the national vendors.
  • Hold periodic business reviews with community leadership to communicate vendor and formulary compliance, solicit feedback to inform vendor performance and strategy, and provide cost savings insights.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in conjunction with assigned vendors.
  • Resolve community supplier issues that cannot be solved locally for assigned vendors.
  • Be a resource to community staff who need help with vendor/formulary related questions

Purchase Order System:

  • Assist end users with issues they encounter in ordering.
  • Resolve un-invoiced, over invoiced, and under invoiced orders with vendors.
  • Resolve receipt issues with requisitioners.
  • Develop and implement reporting standards to monitor purchases for compliance with formulary, minimum order size, tax issues, etc.

Other Tasks as Needed:

  • Organize and provide training for community staff in conjunction with vendor subject matter experts.
  • Maintain/update documentation on Purchasing SharePoint site for easier staff access to purchasing standards.
  • Update tax exempt information with vendors.
  • Onboard new communities to the national vendors
  • Other tasks, as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Required Degree: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred Degree: N/A
  • Preferred Certificate(s): N/A
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of purchasing/sourcing and vendor management related experience
    • Proven experience with analyzing data and implementing insights.
    • Demonstrated written communication ability related to contracts, implementation plans, and presentations.
    • Workday experience a plus, or willingness to learn Workday Procurement Module
    • Experience in lean and/or six-sigma methodologies a plus

  • Strong analytical person. Ability to see many solutions to meet business goals. Has the presence to draw multiple viewpoints from others.
  • Strong people skills to demonstrate teamwork, leadership, and flexibility while working with all levels of the organization and external vendors.
  • Strong negotiation skills, including contract/supply agreement negotiations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to pull out and summarize information and tailor communication style and content for a variety of audiences. Comfortable and confident presentation to executives.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing effective and efficient processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job demands a variety of physical duties including office work, exposure to outside environment, and occasional physical exertion considered light- to medium-duty work. Mobility is necessary to move about the facility and campus. This position requires occasional handling of generally lightweight materials and the physical ability to use several types of office equipment as well as some small hand tools. Has minimal risk of exposure to potentially infectious material as a part of the routine job functions.

  • Clarity of Vision:
    • For near visual acuity Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
    • For far visual acuity, Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. This is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well.
    • For peripheral vision, observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.

Compensation Pay Range:

$84,459.00 - $126,687.00 per year

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $84,459.00 - $126,687.00 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
