We are seeking a dedicated QC Microbiology Analyst to play a vital role in supporting the development of a cutting-edge Biotech Drug Substance facility. What You’ll Do:

  • Qualify and validate microbiology laboratories, including transfer and qualification of analytical methods such as rapid microbiological techniques.
  • Perform routine microbiological testing, including environmental monitoring, water bioburden, growth promotion, bioburden assessments, endotoxin testing, and analytical chemistry.
  • Support laboratory readiness, equipment qualification, and method transfer activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline lab workflows, employing lean principles and automation.
  • Train and mentor fellow analysts on state-of-the-art microbiological methods.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including risk assessments, audits, and SOP updates.

Required Skills:

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in GMP microbiology laboratory settings.
  • Hands-on expertise in microbiological techniques such as environmental monitoring, water testing, endotoxin assays, and rapid microbiological methods.
  • Sound knowledge of cGMP guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in documentation, SOP writing, and report generation.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Experience with lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with bioburden testing, LIMS, and laboratory automation systems.
  • Knowledge of pharmacopoeial standards and modern analytical technologies.
  • Prior exposure to microbiology, mycoplasma DNA testing, or related fields.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments.
