Job Title: Environmental Drilling Equipment Assistant Operator

Location: Brighton, MI

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)

Pay: $20.00 Based on Experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

The Equipment Operator Assistant is responsible for assisting drilling operator during environmental and geotechnical field projects. This role includes material handling, setting up job sites, and supporting drilling operations while adhering to strict environmental and safety standards. Training, certifications, and career advancement are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training provided to operate environmental drilling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Transport drill rigs and support vehicles to job sites (company trucks provided).
  • Assist with site setup, drilling operations, and environmental sampling tasks.
  • Use jackhammers, augers, and high-vibration tools as needed.
  • Maintain and inspect drilling equipment and tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper environmental control procedures.
  • Perform additional field labor duties and project support as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and up to 90 lbs. with assistance.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required).
  • Willingness to work overtime and longer shifts when required.

Preferred / Will Train:

  • CDL-A License (or the ability to obtain one — company supported).
  • Ability to obtain HAZWOPER certification (company provided).
