The State of New Hampshire, Department of Corrections, Division of Administration has a part-time vacancy for a Records Control Clerk.

Summary:

To perform clerical duties within the Division of Administration that are associated with the receipt of monies and maintenance of the Offender Information Management System (CORIS) to ensure data is correct and that payments and disbursements are applied correctly to an offender record.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent credential

License/Certification: None

Other Requirements: Must pass security and background screenings required for correctional environments

Trainee Option: Not applicable

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Clerical experience involving typing or records management

Responsibilities:

Investigates and resolves discrepancies in client data and maintains written and verbal communications with probation/parole officers, victims and other agencies when discrepancies are found to rectify same.

Collects and analyzes data in order to develop reports and provides information to supervisor so action and/or changes can occur associated with procedures.

Ensures payments are sorted and applied to the proper payee by verifying and entering data in CORIS.

Reviews and reconciles daily monies received and prepares bank deposits of all monies received within the Division.

Reviews bi-monthly statewide disbursements of fines, fees and restitution to ensure accurate transfer of funds to courts, other state agencies and all payees.
