Summary:

A registered nurse or radiology technician who is trained and able to assess and identify the vascular access needs of the patient. Procures, delivers and coordinates vascular access for the patient in the hospital setting. Competency in the placement of PICC lines.

Other information:

Must be a graduate of an approved registered nurse or radiography program. RN: must have a RN license in good standing and eligible to practice in the state of Arkansas. Radiology Tech: must be eligible for ARRT certification, must have Arkansas Radiologic Technologist license. Must have CPR through the American Heart Association.

Frequent stressful conditions encountered in patient care. Intermittent exposure to contagious disease and chemical disinfectants with protective measures provided. Job hazards encountered include needles, exposure to bodily fluids, bodily injury, electrical shock, mechanical failure, exposure to toxic chemicals, radioactive chemicals, radioactive areas and radiation with protective measures provided. Must be able to lift, pull/push, turn, move patients and similar movements that are required in the provision of patient care. Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
