What will I be doing?

The Director of Corporate FP&A will serve as a strategic financial partner to Circana’s Corporate Functions, including HR, Legal, Finance, and other G&A departments. This role is responsible for driving financial planning, enabling cost transparency, and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and financial discipline.

You will lead a small team (1 direct report) and collaborate closely with department heads and senior leadership to ensure alignment between functional strategies and corporate financial goals. This role is ideal for a proactive, analytical leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about enabling business success through financial excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, & strategic planning.
  • Deliver financial insights and recommendations to optimize spend and resource allocation across G&A functions.
  • Lead the financial planning process for Corporate Functions, including annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly outlooks.
  • Ensure alignment between functional initiatives and enterprise financial targets.
  • Support enterprise-wide transformation efforts, including cost optimization, automation, and process improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that provide transparency into functional spend and performance.
  • Manage and mentor junior Finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate financial data into actionable narratives for executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support global operating models and drive consistent financial practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance, with a focus on FP&A, corporate finance, or business partnership.
  • Experience supporting G&A functions in a matrixed, high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Proven ability to translate financials into business narratives and influence executive stakeholders.
  • Critical thinker with a continuous improvement and learning mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning systems, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and modern FP&A technologies.
  • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong communication and executive-level presentation skills.

Location: This position can be located in the following area(s): Fully Remote (<10% Travel) or Hybrid (Chicago, IL).

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
