Akkodis is seeking a Senior Java developer for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will lead the development of scalable, event-driven microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Java developer job responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architecture.
• Design and implement data processing solutions leveraging PySpark and Spark for large-scale systems.
• Create responsive front-end components using Angular 13+ and integrate them with backend services.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS infrastructure, including EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, and VPC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth CI/CD workflows using Git, Jenkins, and Flyway.
• Optimize performance and ensure reliability across RDBMS and NoSQL databases.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Java development and enterprise-level systems.
• Must have strong proficiency in Advanced Java Concepts, PySpark, and Angular 13+.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka streaming, and AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC) is essential.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
