Overview

Razorfish has an immediate need for a freelance Resource Manager to start ASAP and work on a 6 month engagement. Freelancers will be considered for contract extension as well as conversion to fulltime based on performance and budget.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Resource Management to lead the staffing, capacity planning, and talent allocation functions across our Media disciplines (including Paid & Owned Strategy, Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, and Display). The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep knowledge of digital marketing agency operations and a proven track record optimizing people, process, and performance across complex, fast-paced organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Resource Planning: Oversee resource management strategy and talent fulfillment for the Media discipline, balancing short-term project needs with long-term business growth and talent development.
  • Staffing & Allocation: Lead all staffing meetings and processes for the Media discipline, partnering with Media, Account, and Project Management leaders to ensure optimal team allocations based on skillset, availability, and client/project requirements.
  • Forecasting & Capacity Management: Maintain forecasting models to anticipate resourcing needs, identify gaps, and manage utilization trends.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Partner with Media Leads, Talent Acquisition, HR, and Finance to ensure cohesive communication around workload, utilization, and staffing priorities.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage tools and analytics to monitor utilization, productivity, and efficiency metrics provide regular reports and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Process Improvement: Establish best practices and scalable frameworks for resourcing, capacity planning, and talent deployment across the Media function.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and develop a small team of resource managers or coordinators champion a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in resource management, operations, or project management within a digital marketing or media agency.
  • An appreciation for the balance of art and science that defines effective resource management.
  • Deep understanding of Media disciplines (Paid & Owned Strategy, Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, and Display) and how they integrate with broader agency teams.
  • Strong communication skills: You&rsquoll be working with a wide range of teams and clients, so the ability to communicate clearly and effectively is key.
  • Ability to stay organized and juggle multiple moving pieces, especially when deadlines are tight.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to proactively solve problems and step into action as needed.
  • Proficiency with resource planning tools and strong data analysis capabilities.

Compensation Range: $90.00- $118.00 hourly. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
