What You’ll Get to Do
The Buyer I is focused on executing buying activities and supporting supply planning across assigned categories and regions
This role is perfect for an individual who is organized and detailed. A vital member of the procurement team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
Procurement Execution
- Create, negotiate, and manage purchase orders for materials, supplies, and services in accordance with established policies.
- Monitor order status, expedite deliveries, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Engauge in sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive quotes to support cost savings initiatives.
- Maintain accurate ERP procurement records, including pricing, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
- Assist in resolving invoice and payment issues in coordination with Accounts Payable.
Planning & Inventory Support
- Collaborate with operations teams to understand demand forecasts and inventory requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and usage trends to identify potential shortages or excesses.
- Analyze historical purchasing data to support forecast accuracy and supplier planning.
- Help identify lead time constraints and recommend adjustments to ERP data.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 1+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience.
- Basic understanding of procurement and supply planning principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process compliance.
