Job Description: Performance Contracting Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test. This role is based out of Lenexa, KS. This individual will be responsible for the following duties: Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in Test Automation, Test Tooling and Infrastructure, or Development Deployment Operations Experience in API testing from SOAP, RESTful Hands-on experience with designing and developing automated tests in Java or C# with frameworks like JUnit/TestNG or Selenium Hands-on experience with SQL query development Microsoft MB-300 and MB-500 Basic Requirements: Strong understanding of software development, test methodologies, test design strategies, test automation framework, tools, and processes. Strong understanding of relational database, Microsoft SQL server and scripting. Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming Languages. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite. Creates and maintains automated test cases, executes test suites, reviews and diagnoses reported defects through CI/CD, and ensures overall system quality prior to a release. Participates and conducts peer reviews of test scripts Works with Architects, Business System Analysts, Developers, DevSecOps, Product Owners, and other department personnel to derive testing requirements throughout the SDLC. Review requirements, specifications, and technical development to identify, reproduce, debug, isolate and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards and verify fixes. Creates software artifacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures and test reports. Holds and facilitates test plan/case reviews with appropriate parties, including Business Analysts and the Developers. Works cross functional teams, learn, and retain business and technical knowledge in a fast-paced, disciplined Agile/Scrum environment. Estimates own testing tasks and works productively with minimum supervision while showing excellent team attitude. Ability to test IT operational projects and utilize Powershell to help automate manual testing processes and steps. Facilitates the sharing of information by contributing to the IT knowledge base when appropriate. Thoroughly understands, follows, and promotes the use of SDLC and established internal IT and testing processes and procedures. Contribute to SDLC documentation. Anticipates, identifies, and escalates issues/risks. Leverages personal and experiential knowledge to propose workarounds, prevention and/or solutions in any circumstances applicable. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies. Thrives in an environment where self-learning and self-service is encouraged. Displays good self-awareness, looks for and suggests improvements in efficiencies to reduce costs and be responsible and accountable as an employee owner. Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and works well with others, encourages team cohesiveness and morale. Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvements Preferred Requirements: Experience with Microsoft Playwrite Examples, schooling or a hobby that they can share examples or speak to leveraging AI in any manner. This can be pointing us to a Github repository, sharing a project they did for school, or some sort of example that they have explored and accomplished something. We don’t really care what it is, but that they have done more than just read a little about an AI technology. Things like any of the common LLMs, Replit, etc all apply.
