Job Title: Medical Assistant - Oncology

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced oncology team. This role involves providing patient care by recording vital signs, managing patient rooming, and maintaining treatment rooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical assisting and oncology, with a keen attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Record patient vital signs, including height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Ensure exam and treatment rooms are well-stocked and supplies are ordered as needed.
  • Room 50-70 patients daily, supporting efficient patient flow.
  • Perform manual blood pressure measurements as required.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Certification in Medical Assisting.
  • Proficiency in oncology, medical terminology, and phlebotomy.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health records (EHR).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Effective customer service abilities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with hours from 8:15 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts. The role requires working at different locations throughout the week: Monday and Friday at The Woodlands, TX, and Tuesday to Thursday at Conroe, TX. Employees will receive reimbursement for travel outside assigned clinics when necessary. The work environment fosters a strong culture of team building, with holiday celebrations and an open-door policy. Benefits include accumulating 5 hours of PTO per pay period, a 401K with a 3% match, and two insurance plan options.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
