Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000

We are currently seeking a Global Sensor Manager (GSM) Missile Warning / Missile Defense (MW/DM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) is embedded within the USSC J31 Division work center to provide technical expertise and support integrating, managing, evaluating, testing, and advancing & optimizing the U.S. (and designated partners) Missile Warning, Missile Defense, and Sensor Management systems with USSPACECOM (USSC). The position is located within USSC facilities in Colorado Springs, CO. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with USSC J31 personnel (Government, Military, and Contractors), and J31 designated external entities as a Subject Matter Expert in GSM, MW, and MD.
  • Architectural and operational presentations and working group involvement with:

o Integrated Tactical Warning / Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) system

o Theater Event System (TES)

o Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system

o Shared Early Warning System (SEWS)

o Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control System (CCIC2S)

  • Draft and/or maintain as appropriate, Operational Orders (OPORD), SPACECOM Instructions (SPI), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Instructions (CJCSI), Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI), Concepts of Operations / Employment (CONOPS/CONEMP), and other high-level documents.
  • Draft and/or assist in the execution of Test Plans related to Flight Tests, mission software testing, sensor testing, RADAR and OPIR system testing.
  • Review daily missile event activity: assist in the analysis of designated systems detect, track, disseminate, warn, and defend/defeat capabilities performance.
  • Draft and present recommendations to Senior Leaders, for improvements based on above post-event analysis.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of designated high-interest missile events. Examples of in-depth analysis may include, but is not limited to, algorithm development/performance, software innovation possibilities, flight state vector/covariance, reporting and display.
  • Other duties as assigned.
