Core Responsibilities

As a Senior Compliance Engineer, you'll be key in maintaining the safety, security, and compliance of our digital portfolio. You'll partner with design and development teams to produce accurate compliance documentation, certificates, and reports in line with the LEGO Group’s digital strategy. More specifically you will:

  • Complete yearly transparency reports and optimize accompanying processes
  • Complete compliance certifications including the COPPA Safe Harbor Program
  • Manage intake of compliance queries and complaints for review
  • Assist in evaluating compliance of digital experiences accessible to consumers
  • Develop and evolve compliance templates in adherence with new and evolving regulatory requirements
  • Maintain compliance documentation and a portfolio overview of features and functionalities
  • Validate documentation internally and with accredited certification bodies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and guidelines

Do you have what it takes

The ideal candidate has an education in digital design, development, political science or similar relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience that has provided knowledge on a similar level. Moreover, you bring:

  • Experience with process improvement and documentation related to digital product development, operations, or compliance management
  • Foundational knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for digital experiences aimed at consumers
  • Experience in the delivery of external reports and transparency documentation
  • General IT proficiency (MS Office and Audit, Risk, and Compliance tools)
  • Experience working with product teams in a large, international company
  • An interest in online safety, data privacy, and/or cybersecurity
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams
  • A positive, curious approach and team spirit

It would be beneficial to have:

  • Understanding industry standards and adhering to regulations governing digital interfaces for consumers (COPPA, WCAG, GDPR, DSA, OSA, CRA) as well as possessing relevant certifications or equivalent experience
  • Toy industry experience
