Position Overview:

Finning Canada is seeking an experienced and dynamic Customer Activation Manager to lead the charge in activating our brand through high-impact customer engagements. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of planning, executing, and evaluating external customer-facing events including trade shows, sales activations, and customer tours that leave a lasting impression and drive business results. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding event experiences that enhance our brand, generate leads, and support strategic business objectives. This role requires a passion for customer engagement, exceptional project management skills, and a customer-centric mindset.

Job Description:

Position Overview

  • Strategize, plan, and execute a variety of high impact customer events including conferences, trade shows, networking functions, and sales activations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to set event objectives, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage event marketing campaigns, digital promotions, and targeted communications to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, venue selection, logistics, and on-site event management.
  • Ensure all events consistently reflect our brand values and deliver memorable customer experiences.
  • Measure event impact through post-event analytics, customer feedback, and ROI assessment.
  • Maintain a calendar of upcoming events and track progress against milestones.
  • Stay up to date on event industry trends and best practices to bring innovative ideas to our programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing customer-facing events in marketing environments.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with event management software and digital marketing tools.
  • Creative thinker with a focus on customer experience.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required by event schedules.
