Lenovo’s intellectual property legal team supports a wide range of initiatives and programs designed to ensure our products are properly vetted with respect to privacy, security, and open-source compliance, among other things.
We are currently looking to add an experienced Advisory Engineer, Open Source Compliance to the team.
This is a great opportunity for an adaptable and collaborative team player to join a fast-paced technology company to continue developing and implementing an industry-leading open-source compliance program through education, organization, and automation.
This position will be located in China, will report to Lenovo’s Worldwide Director of Open-Source Compliance, and will collaborate across the legal and product development organizations, primarily in China, to continue to improve and incorporate open-source compliance processes utilizing best practices into the software product development process. Processes and procedures to be implemented will include software scans, inbound and outbound reviews, and documentation creation, along with guidance and education for the developers. This role requires someone who understands software structures and open-source licenses, and who builds strong relationships with development stakeholders to enable the business's success.
Job Responsibilities:
Partner with Software Development and Business teams, especially those located in China, to help the Open-Source Compliance Director implement best practices for open source and third-party software compliance.
