Role Specific Responsibilities
o Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
o Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
o Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person
o Demonstrates ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
o Contributes to a health workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
o Participate in continuing education
o Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
o Provides direct and indirect nursing care.
o Demonstrates clinical expertise and stays current with knowledge in new technology in specialty service.
o Functions as a clinical resource for staff.
o Strives to complete assigned tasks during scheduled duty time.
o Assures implants and equipment are available prior to the procedure.
o Reviews future schedule (10 days) for needs each day.
o Remains organized and calm ensuring quality of care.
o Demonstrates flexibility regarding work assignments and schedule.
o Develops standardized Resource Maps that are user friendly and kept current.
o Empowers team members to perform specific duties.
o Participates in the development, communication, and implementation of new policies, and procedures with team members.

o Assess the service’s activities and the performance of the team, providing direction as needed.

o Offers assistance to charge nurses and preceptors in making staff assignments.
o Manages own time, be able to prioritize and organize needs/demands and accountable for deadlines.
o Participates in budget development, service line development meetings and action plans to decrease costs.

o Collaborates with management and clinical educator to assure appropriate staff development and orientation opportunities are maximized and developed and delivered to the staff.
o Participates in and seeks out, opportunities and activities that provide for continuing education skills development and self-improvement.
o Provides review of information to co-workers when appropriate.
o Ensures proper par level of supplies is maintained to efficiently support the service operation.
o Assures availability, readiness, safety, and cost-effective use of equipment and supplies.
o Keeps supply and instrument storage areas neat, organized, labeled clearly, and easily assessable.
o Works with team members to ensure proper documentation and charging for supplies and implants.
o Reports defective equipment for repair and instruments that need refurbishing, sharpening or replacement to the purchasing coordinator.
o Submits requests for new product trials to be presented at product review meetings and evaluation of product usage.
o Performs technical skills relative to specific specialties (video equipment, stirrups, headrest, ect.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
$23.19 - $35.94
