As a Security Officer - Tech Dispatch in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch professional with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting security-related operations within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities include monitoring communications, coordinating responses, and providing exceptional customer service to internal teams and visitors. You will help to deter incidents by maintaining clear and timely communication, utilizing innovative technology, and upholding our commitment to reliability and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and coordinate response actions within the location.
• Provide customer service by following site-specific policies and procedures related to dispatch operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, relaying information and instructions as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatch activities, calls, and incidents for the location.
• Communicate with security-related staff, emergency responders, and/or management to provide updates and coordinate responses.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entry points and assisting with visitor management as required.
• Assist with emergency response activities by notifying appropriate personnel and providing ongoing support throughout incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
