MHC Healthcare is seeking Per Diem (on call) Pharmacy Technician (Technician) to join our Pharmacy team at the MHC Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 16 sites in Tucson and Pima County. MHC Healthcare is building a world-class integrated health care system that is committed to caring for special populations, and focused on improving health outcomes for our patients. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will carry out specific pharmacy tasks including filling and re-filling prescriptions; entering prescriptions and medication orders into computer system.

This is a per diem (on call) position – specific hours are not guaranteed.

The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalency and a minimum of six months’ experience as a pharmacy technician; required.
  • Certified according to current standards established by the AzBoPh; required.
  • Cash handling experience; required.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish; preferred.

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficient at all pharmacy technician duties and responsibilities.
  • Technician has the ability to listen carefully and respond appropriately to others.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment.
  • Ability to take directions from their supervisor adapt as new policies and work flow changes arise.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations where applicable.
  • Personable and friendly to customers.
  • Knowledge of automated ordering and return processes.
