Job Description

Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel are looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Duty Manager to work across our bar and gaming areas on a casual basis.

As a key member of the venue leadership team, you’ll ensure smooth daily operations, uphold service excellence, and are welcoming and engaging for all guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee bar, bistro, and gaming operations to ensure smooth service and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences every shift.
  • Manage cash handling, gaming reconciliation, and security procedures accurately.
  • Address and resolve customer issues with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure all RSA and gaming standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Assist with rostering, stock control, and operational reporting as required.

Shift Details:

  • Flexible rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
  • AM and PM shifts available
  • Holding a current RSA and RSG is a strong advantage

Please note: This role is located in GLADSTONE, QLD.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience within a hospitality, pub, or gaming venue.
  • Extensive background in the hospitality industry, ideally within a hotel or resort setting, with a thorough understanding of guest service standards and operations
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to maintain a consistently positive and professional demeanor, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion of duties.
  • Impeccable professional presentation, reflecting the high standards of the organisation.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adjust to varying schedules, as required by the operational needs of the business.
