Join our team as a IT Digital Workplace Leader!

Digital workplace leader is responsible for establishing and maintaining a digital workplace strategy and architecture for Garrett Motion that meets the companys current and anticipated future needs.

The position owns implementation of Digital workplace transformation projects as well as orchestrate delivery of all digital workplace operational IT and services to Garrett operations / offices around the globe.

Scope includes all components of Digital workplace (e.g. End Point Management (Computers, Mobile devices), Patching, SW distribution, Collaboration, Voice over IP, Office365, monitoring ...) and related operations, user support and vendor management. The person leads all Digital workplace operations related teams across Garretts locations, enabling, structuring and developing the colleagues for best possible performance incl development of the organisational capability (people / capacity / skill / sourcing level / culture / digital mindset).

The position is part of Garretts IT infrastructure leadership management team, and part of IT extended leadership with responsibility to drive some of IT strategic initiatives across the functions.

What you`ll do:

Strategy & Roadmap

Define and maintain Garrett’s digital workplace strategy aligned with business, HR, legal, and facility needs.

Establish a future-focused architecture and vision for workplace technologies.

Identify emerging technologies and opportunities for cost, efficiency, and experience improvements.

Develop a multi-year roadmap of programs and projects to realize the strategic vision.

Assess and plan required capabilities (internal and outsourced) to support delivery.

People Leadership & Capability Development

Distinguish strategic vs. commodity skills and define sourcing strategies (rightsourcing/rightshoring).

Foster a culture of agility, innovation, and digital transformation across teams and vendors.

Lead and develop a distributed team, including next-level management.

Drive performance management and talent development.

Champion IT-wide strategic initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Stakeholder Management

Continuously assess stakeholder needs, pain points, and opportunities.

Align strategy and execution with stakeholder expectations and secure buy-in.

Provide regular updates on service performance and project delivery.

Communicate effectively during service disruptions and major incidents.

Share best practices and lessons learned across programs and teams.

Transformation Project Delivery

Translate strategic programs into executable transformation projects.

Lead delivery of initiatives such as endpoint standardization, mobility policy updates, and software distribution platforms.

Ensure projects meet business case objectives, scope, timeline, and budget.

Service Operations & Efficiency

Oversee stable and secure delivery of digital workplace services.

Promote a KPI-driven culture focused on user experience and continuous improvement.

Manage vendor relationships and benchmark performance against market standards.

Lead incident and problem management for high-impact disruptions.

Continuously review cost structures and identify optimization opportunities.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology;
  • Min 10 years of direct experience in IT and operation
  • Proven mid level leadership experience with credible strong potential for higher level management.
