About the role:

We’re TOMRA, and we’re on a mission to make recycling smarter and litter a thing of the past. This is your chance to play a key role in expanding our footprint across Victoria’s Western Region—bringing our services to new communities and making a real environmental impact.

You’ll be part of a passionate, multi-state team working toward bold strategic goals. Your focus? Identifying new site opportunities, building strong partnerships, and helping us grow in all the right places.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be TOMRA’s local champion—boosting our presence and reputation in the region.
  • Support operational teams with identifying and fostering community partnership opportunities designed to embed recycling habits in the community, and promote fundraising
  • Discover and develop new site opportunities with shopping centres, councils, charities, and community groups.
  • Build long-term relationships that help us thrive and serve more communities.
  • Track your progress using our CRM and contribute to team targets.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed and excited about new developments.
  • Explore future growth opportunities—your journey doesn’t stop here.

Qualifications

What makes a great Business Development Manager at TOMRA:

  • Sales / Business Development experience with a B2B background, (though B2C is relevant as well).
  • A high attention to detail, accuracy, and strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated, resilient, committed & able to take initiative with enthusiasm to deliver business results
  • Proven ability to search out and engage with customers
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Adaptable to a dynamic working environment
  • Desire to be a part of an upbeat, high performing culture
  • Interest in environmental sustainability
  • Proven ability to work as part of a wider team
  • Available to travel through regional Victoria- Drivers licence and access to a vehicle required
  • Experience, connections and networks within Retail or Retail property, and/or Waste Management / Recycling will be beneficial
