The Opportunity

QVC Group is seeking a Fleet Technician Lead to oversee a team of mechanics responsible for maintaining and repairing all PIT equipment and vehicles. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and administrative duties. Primary responsibilities include supervising diagnostics and repairs, managing preventive maintenance schedules, training junior mechanics, and ensuring accurate work order and maintenance record management.

Your Impact

• Assign and review the work of other mechanics, provide training and mentorship, and ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
• Perform skilled mechanical and electrical repairs on various types of fleet vehicles, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and emissions systems. Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and perform necessary adjustments and repairs.
• Implement and manage schedules for preventive maintenance to maximize vehicle uptime and asset life. This includes services like oil changes, tune-ups, and brake inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities using fleet management software and prepare work orders.
• Order, stock, and manage the inventory of parts and tools, and locate necessary parts.
• Ensure all maintenance and repairs comply with safety standards and applicable regulations, such as DOT requirements.

What You Bring

• Proven ability to lead a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures for electric (batteries), gas, diesel, and alternative fuel vehicles.
• Ability to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot problems in a diverse environment.
• Experience with computer-based diagnostics, record-keeping databases, and management software.
• Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
