As a Security Guard - Armed Transit Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated transportation locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This position requires both armed responsibilities and driving as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address each situation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transit locations and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any irregularities.
• Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to passengers, employees, and visitors.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site policies, particularly in transit and transportation environments.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Prepare clear and concise reports on incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
