Job Responsibilities:
What you can expect
- Design and build our data pipeline architecture as well as optimize data flow for collection, ingestion, process and exchange for cross functional teams
- Collaborate with technical team members to ensure the solution design satisfies project objectives and business requirements
- Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various data engineering projects
- Participate in on-call support
- Support with data governance and security policies to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
- Participate in evaluation and selection of new data tools and technologies to enhance our data capabilities
- Ability to build and support programs across cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Perform operational tasks that facilitate and advances our infrastructure needs
- Optimizing and implementing cost measures to ensure sustainability of our data services
- Design, build and implement ETL scripts and pipelines
- Work with engineering, IT and other teams to understand and prioritize deployment of data analytic services
- Configure cloud based solutions (AWS, Azure) and enable end user self service
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools to make automation process run smoother
- Optimize enterprise data, analytic tools and applications
- Build and roll out dashboards for multiple teams
- Determine, enforce and document databases policies, procedures, standards and governance
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study
- Experience with Python, Pyspark
- 4+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure
- Experience in business analytic and business intelligence tools
- Experience in building high scale data pipelines in hybrid environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in data security and data governance
- Experience with big data tech like – Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Apache airflow
- Strong understanding of database systems including RDS, postgresSQL
- Experience with CICD ecosystems
- Micro-service architecture experience
- Programming languages – Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby, SQL
- Experience with container services - Docker, Kubernetes, service meshes etc.
- Experience with Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Terraform, CDK, Jira, Confluence
- Exposure to Graphana, Prometheus
