Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care to an assigned patient population. Provides nursing leadership for coordination of care given with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate the patient along the continuum.
Job Specifications:
Required Education: Graduation from an accredited, state-approved, school of nursing.
Preferred Education: N/A
Required Licensure: Current MS RN license or temporary permit for same (valid for 90 days only) or Compact License. Eligible for or currently certified by IBCLC. If not IBCLC certified must obtain certification at first opportunity after the required 1000 hours in lactation assistance have been achieved or 2 years.
Preferred Licensure: N/A
Required Experience: One-year clinical experience in a hospital as an RN with experience in breastfeeding education.
Preferred Experience: Two years in lactation assistance.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to interpret physicians' instructions. Use and operation of equipment and instruments used in patient care.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to use Microsoft Applications.
