In this vital role, you’ll ensure our outsourced maintenance services are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and fully compliant with organisational standards, public sector expectations, and legislative requirements.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a committed and community-minded Maintenance Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive team working across NSW. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our disability residential properties and other department-owned assets safe, compliant, and operational.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess and coordinate maintenance requests for a diverse property portfolio, including disability group homes and other service delivery assets.
  • Ensure fire safety compliance and landlord repair obligations are met to the highest standard.
  • Liaise with disability accommodation service providers and tenants to resolve property-related issues quickly and professionally.
  • Work closely with outsourced service providers to deliver thoughtful, responsive, and proactive maintenance services.
  • Contribute to the well-being and safety of our residents and the ongoing delivery of essential community services.

You’ll be part of a passionate team that values collaboration, care, and a commitment to delivering human-centred, resilient, and efficient solutions that support the people of NSW.

Why join us?

  • Work with purpose and help improve the lives of people living in supported accommodation.
  • Join a passionate and dedicated team that genuinely cares about its work.
  • Enjoy variety in your day with site visits and collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Be part of a forward-thinking division making a real difference in community infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in maintenance coordination or facilities management, ideally within a complex or community-based environment.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and technology skills – you can juggle multiple tasks and keep things running smoothly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to engage effectively with service providers, tenants, and internal teams.
  • The ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety standards and compliance requirements, especially in relation to property maintenance and residential environments.
