Job Description Summary
Aircraft Paint Layout Technicians support all phases of aircraft painting, including interpreting design renderings, laying out stripes, logos, and registration numbers, and preparing aircraft surfaces for painting. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality, visually stunning paint schemes and ensuring they meet design specifications.

- Interpret renderings and apply layout design for stripes, logos, insignias, and registration numbers.
 - Fabricate and use stencils to ensure precise paint applications.
 - Assist in masking the aircraft using tape, paper, and other materials to protect critical components during painting.
 - Perform cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation prior to stripping, priming, and painting.
 - Apply etch and anti-corrosion coatings and rinse thoroughly.
 - Assist with and apply sealers and primers as needed.
 - Apply paint to aircraft interiors and exteriors in accordance with company standards.
 - Polish and detail exterior paint surfaces for a professional finish.
 - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
 - Minimum 3 years of experience in auto or aircraft paint layout required.
 - Ability to read and understand aircraft maintenance manuals and interpret placard placement requirements.
 - Effective time management and organizational skills.
 - Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
 - Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with experienced technicians and mentor junior staff.
 - Clear and professional communication in routine work settings.
 - Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and maintaining a safe work environment.
