Patient Access Education Coordinator- Patient Access
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent, ACPAR preferred
Minimum of two (2) years experience in a patient accounting/registration setting, five (5) years preferred. Being familiar with all aspects of Patient Financial Services, registrations for all patient types, current Soarian Financials System, billing, accounts receivable, payments, collections Health Data Exchange, Document Imaging, and Trace are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for training and education of all Patient Access representatives for JDAMH and System facilities utilizing Soarian Financials.
Effectively interacts system-wide with front-line employees, managers, and other departments, physician office staff, Information Systems Department, and Continuous Improvement teams.
Oversees all registration education and correcting of Patient Access areas system wide through formal monitoring and data analysis.
Maintains and updates the Patient Access Representative training manual as required
Maintains newsletter for Patient Access site, ensuring the most up-to-date information is identified
Is able to adjust and revise schedule to ensure staff on all shifts, at all facilities, are provided with education
Responsible for identification of key registration errors/issues and creates education targeted to appropriate areas
Creates and maintains on-going education based on registration error trends identified during audits and continues to monitor until errors effectively reduced.
Develop and maintain performance database for monthly reporting of individual and departmental performance and trend analysis of departmental accuracy.
Responsible for maintaining worklists on a daily basis
