Job Description

General Description:

The IT Applications and System Account Administrator is responsible for administering access to all college and VCCS applications and systems.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Administers access to all college and VCCS applications and systems.
  • Administers college faculty, staff and contractor system access
  • Follows the policies, standards, and procedures implemented by the college and VCCS.
  • Assists user community with requesting system access and notifies/updates users as to their access status.
  • Develops and documents procedures for all systems access
  • Assists with system access audits.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

  • Experience in customer service and support

  • Experience in higher education or public sector preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for system security
  • Any specific functional and/or technical training or certification in IT related sciences
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with PeopleSoft.
