Job Description

Key responsibilities/essential functions include (but not limited to):

  • Partner with country leader and staff to drive commercial growth & profitability, lead/support strategic initiatives and drive commercial rigor & simplification for Indonesia.
  • Partnering to drive commercial transformation projects and sales force effectiveness initiatives to enable and sustain commercial growth.
  • Lead commercial finance analytics (eg. price, COGS, mix, cost to sell/serve, sales force effectiveness and productivity, orders & backlog profitability etc.,) & provide meaningful insights/ actionable outcomes to leadership to drive profitable growth.
  • Business segment growth & profitability analysis/ key metrics (including franchise view) - provide actionable insights to Indonesia Leadership, Segment Leaders, Services Commercial, Service Delivery and enabling functions; recommend potential solutions/actions and track progress. Lead and provide analytics on strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to better connect the dots & provide actionable insights (eg. Market growth & share correlation to Orders, NPI performance/effectiveness).
  • Actively partner with FP&A team and provide insights for developing estimates/forecasts, operating plans, blue print reviews and operating/strategic reviews.
  • Collaborate/ Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification/ standardization and/or improve rigor in key Commercial/ Finance processes for better/sustainable growth & profitability.
  • Collaborate on projects related to internal controls over financial reporting for example Policy 5.0/ Policy 6.0 process & controls, Contract T&C’s standardization, contract offerings etc.,
  • Develop and improve financial processes/tools – for instance, live & dynamic reports/dashboards, scenario based outcomes, budgeting and estimating processes, project pay-backs/ROI’s.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires advanced experience in the Finance & Commercial Finance Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 8-10 years progressive financial work experience.

  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications i.e. Oracle, SAP, Visualization tools (PBI, Spotfire, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
  • Confidence / Assertiveness: Strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values
  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows. Fluency in English.
  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
  • Experience leading in a matrix environment.
  • Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
  • Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP.
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma.
