Job Description:
Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Quality Control Technician.
Follow the QC procedures and work instruction to ensure the quality of Raw Materials and finished goods of PU and AdMat divisions meet product specifications by carrying out all tests to meet business requirements with safety and compliance to Lab, safety standard and participate in any continuous improvements to manufacturing processes.
This position will be based in Dong Nai, Vietnam.
As a Quality Control Technician you will:
Responsible for conducting the chemical and/or physical test (if needed) by using standard quality control methods and procedures of chemical and physical properties testing raw material use in production and finished products to supply to customers. The responsible are cover but not limited to the activities as follows.
Test and release only raw materials with specified quality under manufacturing specification for use in production by using Huntsman Quality Control standard and procedures. Conducting the quality control testing prescribed for each product prior to their specification for sale. Conduct the quality control monitoring for all retained samples and return product from customer complaint or according to the business requirement. Operate equipment according to the set of standards working procedures in HMV, ISO database and Quality control database. Responsible for delivering QC tools / equipment preventive maintenance and calibration as per yearly schedule. Maintain accurate and up to date records/ document control
Maintaining current, all records pertaining to material testing in SAP, manual document record (exe: in process QC record) and equipment calibration Ensuring an adequate supply of laboratory consumable Ensuring equipment is maintained according to schedule, and prioritizing own daily activities
Be SAP QA user with responsible to update test data into QA SAP module for quality control daily task. Submit to QA, QC Team Leader to approve for release to use or sell.
Responsible for managing and monitoring all Block, Slow & Expire stock and report to QA, QC Team Leader for stock management decision.
On time monthly QC performance report to QA, QC Team Leader.
Compliance on QC daily tasks with ISO QC procedures, working instructions, and proposals for review and update if necessary.
Demonstrated understanding and support for the Quality Department in maintaining systems aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Actively contributed to department and factory-wide improvement initiatives. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is considered an asset.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
Hold the degree of chemistry (preferred) or chemical engineering.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in QC in Chemical manufacturing
Sufficient in written and spoken English.
Proficient in MS Office application
SAP QA module for Quality control is an advantage.
Proactive, good analytical skills and strong decision making,
Good time management by delivering accurate analytical data on time.
Positive cooperation
Interpersonal skills which enable them to communicate to people in different cultures
Outgoing personally and result oriented.
Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Dong Nai Province
