ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex). We are looking for a part-time Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.

Description:

  • Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment and visual inspections.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services.
  • Properly documents and maintains records for all maintenance performed.
  • Communicate with customers about their vehicle issues, provide repair estimates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automotive issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety for both staff and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must possess minimum five years’ experience in automotive systems, including mechanical and electronic components and previous experience as an auto mechanic or in a related field.
  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools and perform repairs.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must have a valid SC REAL ID or US Passport.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to squat, lift, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
