Nature of Work
Join a team where your technical expertise powers the heart of our campus operations. As a Mechanical Maintenance Worker II, you’ll support and assist work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced HVAC control systems—including pneumatic, electric, electronic, and direct digital control (DDC) technologies. Your work ensures comfort, and efficiency HVAC operation across MU’s facilities.
This role is part of a structured career path, offering clear opportunities for growth. Candidates that demonstrate commitment and competence will advance to Building Controls System Technician I. Further advancement opportunities for Building Controls System Technicians II, III, and IV are available, unlocking new career growth.

7:00 am – 3:30 pm / Mon-Fri
A valid State of Missouri Driver’s License must be held and maintained by incumbents in the position.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate strong organizational abilities and proficiency in computer skills.
Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00/hour
Grade: GGS-E
