Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking a Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects that advance organizational goals and improve healthcare delivery. This role partners with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, organizational priorities, and patient-centered outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and tracking of healthcare-related projects, including clinical, operational, and technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
- Develop detailed project plans, workflows, and documentation; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to project success while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, providing regular status updates, dashboards, and reports to leadership.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report financial performance.
- Drive process improvement by evaluating project outcomes and recommending best practices for future initiatives.
- Ensure change management strategies are incorporated into project execution to support adoption across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Project Management, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience, ideally in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance, and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar).
