About the Role:
Leads Neurocrine's customer strategy, engagement, and management of all pharmacy trade channel activities with a focus on specialty pharmacies and independent mental health-focused pharmacies. Responsible for securing and maintaining optimal product distribution, stocking, and dispensing across the pharmacy trade channel to ensure patient access to Neurocrine products. Develops and executes comprehensive customer strategies to build relationships with national specialty pharmacy networks, and targeted independent pharmacies specializing in mental health and movement disorders. Serves as a key member of the Market Access Account Management team, collaborating with leadership to develop distribution strategies, pharmacy engagement programs, and inventory management approaches for current and pipeline products.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
- Establishes Neurocrine Biosciences as a leader in the treatment and support of patients with Tardive Dyskinesia and movement disorders through development of strong relationships with specialty pharmacies and mental health-focused independent pharmacies
- Develops comprehensive pharmacy trade channel strategy, segmentation, prioritization, and tactical engagement plans based on dispensing volumes, patient access needs, and pharmacy capabilities
- Leads and manages the pharmacy trade team, establishing performance goals and metrics, overseeing execution, and supporting individual development plans
- Builds and sustains long-term partnerships with national specialty pharmacies, specialty distributors, buying groups, and independent pharmacy networks based on deep understanding of their business models, challenges, and opportunities
- Develops, negotiates, and implements innovative distribution and service agreements to support brand strategies and ensure optimal patient access
- Designs and implements pharmacy-focused programs that improve patient experience, adherence, and appropriate utilization of Neurocrine products
- Coordinates with field sales and patient services to create seamless experiences for healthcare providers prescribing Neurocrine products
- Provides expert insight and in-depth analysis related to pharmacy network performance, dispensing trends, competitive activity, and distribution opportunities
- Communicates regularly to senior management on opportunities, challenges, and performance of pharmacy trade channels
- Presents pharmacy outlook and distribution metrics at internal business reviews and national/regional sales meetings
- Partners with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Patient Services to develop pharmacy education resources and tools to support patient care
- Identifies, monitors, and analyzes pharmacy industry trends, consolidation activities, and regulatory changes that may impact Neurocrine's distribution strategy
- Oversees inventory management and supply chain coordination to prevent stockouts and ensure product availability

Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in life sciences, finance/accounting or closely related field and 15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience with strong focus on pharmacy trade channel management OR
- PharmD degree preferred/ Master's degree and 13+ years of similar experience as noted above OR
- PhD and 10+ years of similar experience as noted above and experience leading a team and successfully managing direct reports
- Acts as a "trusted advisor" across the company and may be recognized as an external expert in the pharmacy trade channel
- Provides strategy, vision and direction regarding pharmacy distribution issues that may have company-wide impact
- Deep track record of successful partnerships across core pharmacy stakeholders: specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distributors, pharmacy services administration organizations (PSAOs), and independent pharmacy buying groups
- Strong existing relationships and access to key decision makers at national specialty pharmacy organizations and independent pharmacy networks
- Success in building, managing and leading pharmacy trade teams
- Mastery of specialty pharmaceutical distribution models, inventory management, and pharmacy operations
- Expert understanding of pharmacy reimbursement models, pharmacy benefit managers' impact on dispensing, and prior authorization processes
- Skilled in developing pharmacy-focused programs that enhance the patient journey and improve access to medication
- Strong commercialization and launch experience with specialty pharmaceuticals, preferably within CNS
- Thorough working knowledge of legal, regulatory and compliance environment surrounding pharmaceutical distribution, REMS programs, and pharmacy operations
- Expert level understanding of specialty pharmacy accreditation, capabilities assessment, and performance measurement
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate pharmacy dispensing data into actionable business insights
- Very strong negotiating, relationship building and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives involving pharmacy stakeholders
- Team player/coach with the willingness to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
- Experience working with national specialty pharmacies, specialty distributors, and independent pharmacy networks
- Strong commercialization and launch experience with specialty pharmaceuticals required, preferably within CNS

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $219,219.00-$317,440.50. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
