Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. Over the years we have worked very hard to keep Seattle's electricity affordable, reliable, and environmentally sound. Today, City Light is a recognized national leader in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
The Project Delivery Division is looking for a Senior Capital Projects Coordinator to serve as the on-site lead for City Light’s capital projects in Spokane. This position requires a high level of independence, judgment, and maturity, as it will operate remotely from the main generation sites while maintaining strong collaboration with project teams across the state. Seattle City Light Generation Senior Capital Projects Coordinators have an opportunity to work on a wide variety of unique projects. They range from civil infrastructure improvements at our remote townsites to replacing large pieces of electrical equipment that can only be accessed by boat, to tourism-related construction on our reservoirs. Many projects are one-of-a kind and require creative approaches to project management as well as a desire to learn something new with each project. As part of managing these projects, we spend time in some of the most beautiful areas of the state – the Cedar Falls Watershed, North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and the Selkirk Mountains of Pend Oreille County.
This position will report to the Capital Improvement/Generation Program Manager with the Project Delivery Division.
