We are looking for a proactive and customer-oriented Sales Project Manager to join our Fish Division at JBT Marel. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sales projects from contract signature to handover to Service, ensuring smooth execution, high customer satisfaction, and strong alignment across internal stakeholders.
As Sales Project Manager, you will plan, organize, communicate, and control project work in accordance with contractual obligations and internal objectives. Acting as the main contact point for customers and cross-functional teams, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. Travel up to 50 days a year.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Project Management
- Act as the primary contact for customers and internal teams throughout the entire project lifecycle—from start-up to handover to Service.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, integrating input from engineering, supply chain, service, and finance.
- Keep all stakeholders informed about project progress, risks, and deviations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate and support project team members, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and alignment.
- Manage financial performance, reporting, and profitability of each project.
- Oversee third-party deliveries in collaboration with Purchasing and Supply Chain.
- Plan and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), installation, commissioning, and training in collaboration with the Service team.
- Manage change requests and subcontracted services as needed.
- Ensure a smooth customer handover to Service and close out any remaining actions or snag lists.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct customer visits to monitor progress, strengthen relationships, and identify future opportunities.
- Advise customers on project planning, process optimization, and technical considerations.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
- Strong customer focus with a problem-solving mindset.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Education, Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in capital equipment or industrial solutions.
- Experience in international, cross-functional project environments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food processing or fish industry applications is a plus.
