Role Overview
Coupang is seeking a strategic and data-driven Growth Marketing Leader to spearhead OffApp and InApp initiatives for our multi-billion-dollar e-commerce business in Korea. In this role, you’ll manage a sophisticated growth marketing platform capable of delivering hyper-personalized campaigns across billions of touchpoints, while leveraging global best practices to drive GMV and customer engagement. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, category, and finance teams to uncover actionable insights, define KPIs, and shape strategies that enhance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. This role also involves leading high-impact projects, establishing qualitative research frameworks, and translating data into meaningful business outcomes. What You Will Do
- Define and execute OffApp and InApp strategies for Coupang’s multi-billion-dollar e-commerce business in Korea, driving aggressive growth and operational excellence which helps maximize customer lifetime value by increasing category penetration, driving habitual usage, and boosting spending per customer
- Manage and make the growth marketing platform capable of executing hyper-personalized campaigns across infinite segments, leveraging global best practices to optimize GMV and impressions across billions of monthly touchpoints.
- Own the policy and gmv to help maximize marketing platform gmv vis a vis the tiered objectives
- Partner cross-functionally with product, analytics, category, customer charters, and finance teams to extract actionable consumer insights and identify growth levers for long-term retention and LTV.
- Deeply understand customer funnels, define input levers and KPIs, and align teams around a clear strategy for customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Establish frameworks for qualitative research, enabling teams to conduct customer interviews and integrate feedback into growth initiatives.
- Be hands-on with data, analyzing campaign performance while distilling insights for stakeholders and connecting results to broader strategic goals.
- Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects, clearly defining problems, navigating trade-offs, setting benchmarks, and implementing feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of work experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing CRM – Unpaid channels like Push, SMS, Email, WhatsApp and InApp funnel
- BE/BTech/MS with MBA, preferably in Marketing/Finance/Economics.
- Experience in revenue growth, product initiatives, managing operations
- Experience in analyzing data and identifying trends and insights to inform data driven decisions for improving event performance.
- Experience in exploring and implementing new product initiatives and event formats to improve customer engagement and drive sales.
- Experience to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High level of adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Understanding of online merchandising best practices, marketing strategies, and customer behavior.
- Fluent in English/Korean (Korean language preferred but not required)
