Position Overview: LIFT (Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas) is a three-year program designed to support Texas school systems in building the instructional and systems-level capacity needed to deliver high-quality learning experiences for all students. LIFT brings together the highest leverage components of Strong Foundations, Texas Instructional Leadership, and Texas Lesson Study, providing comprehensive support for districts to adopt HQIM and implement Bluebonnet Learning over multiple years.
The Manager, Regional Support and Implementation Coaching is responsible for ongoing professional development and performance management of 5-10 Approved Providers (Aps)(Education Service Centers and external vendors), and part of a team responsible for a 1200+ statewide coaching workforce providing field supports. In addition, this role is directly responsible for the management and development of two implementation coaches, supporting 10-15 approved Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT) providers each. As such, this role will be responsible for the strategic planning, project planning, and performance management necessary to ensure the implementation coach team successfully manages the end-to-end process of vetting APs, supporting hiring/selection of the right Program Lead (one senior level lead at each AP), and the ongoing development, coaching, and management of APs with a focus on Program Leads.
This role is also responsible for the management of special projects, legacy grant program management, and ensuring alignment and collaboration within the High-Quality Instructional Materials Implementation Team. These responsibilities also include cross-agency management of Strong Foundations and Instructional Leadership Pathway grants. This role also supports coaching performance management by collaborating with content and district engagement teams to ensure strong program knowledge and fidelity of implementation knowledge.
This role will report directly to the Director, Leadership Coaching and Continuous Improvement and will work with a variety of stakeholders including, but not limited to, school district leaders, other TEA teams, external vendors, and Education Service Centers.

Essential Functions
Job duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned.
1. Coaching and Performance Management of Program Leads: Directly and through vendor management, support Program Leads across the state to succeed in their work with school systems through capacity building through implementation support and coaching. This includes leveraging check-ins, skill building coaching conversations, and analysis of program fidelity of implementation to increase program effectiveness and build leader skill. In addition, attend in person visits to school systems together with Education Service Centers (ESCs)/external providers to observe implementation and further inform coaching. In collaboration with the coaching team and Director, Leadership Coaching and Continuous Improvement, define the role and key competencies we seek to build in Program Leads, as well as support to establish the job description and hiring guidance for ESCs and vendors for the Program Lead role. In addition, attend in person visits to school systems together with Education Service Centers to observe implementation.
2. Support the planning and facilitation of Program Lead professional learning: Directly and through vendor management, plan, deliver, monitor, and analyze the effectiveness of program lead professional development. Using trends in approved provider coaching as well as a pre-defined scope and sequence, plan and deliver professional learning sessions. In addition, plan for groups of your coaches, both ESC staff and external vendors, to build skill and proficiency in practice lab experiences. Using coach feedback, continuously improve professional learning offerings, both the content and how it is delivered, to aim for high program fidelity of implementation as well as program lead and LEA satisfaction.
3. Directly manage and coach two Leads, Regional Support and Implementation Coaching: Directly manage two Leads, Regional Support and Implementation Coaching to successfully meet their outlined job functions. This includes regular check-ins and coaching to ensure they are successfully managing their program lead coaching cohort, vendor management, and special projects. In addition, plan and lead internal coaching team check-ins and professional learning meetings.
4. Plan and coordinate program lead conference experiences: Coordinate among multiple planners and facilitators to organize, plan, and execute a series of conference experiences for Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT) leads. In addition to coordinating, directly plan and facilitate professional development experiences for large audiences of program leads.
5. Lead cross-agency collaboration and learning: Regularly meet with team and cross-agency teams to ensure alignment between instructional materials implementation coaching and other agency initiatives. This might involve facilitating cycles of giving and/or receiving feedback with the content and capacity building team, school improvement, data analytics, or district strategic leadership teams. Report out internally and to other teams, such as content and capacity building team, when products or trainings are effective or are not meeting program provider or participant needs. When there is misalignment between workstreams, facilitate conversations to arrive at adjusted plans and strategy.
