POSITION SUMMARY
The Courtesy Driver & Greeter Representative provides safe, reliable transportation assistance and a welcoming presence to customers. The Courtesy Driver & Greeter Representative transports individuals to and from facility entrances and parking areas, greeting and assisting customers upon arrival and departure, ensuring an exceptional customer experience through professional and compassionate service.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Delivers safe and courteous transportation for customers via Golf Cart to and from facility entrances and their vehicles in parking areas, monitoring facility entrances and parking areas, providing an accessible and welcoming experience for all customers.
- Greets all customers entering the facility with professionalism, warmth and respect, while providing information and directions based on customer needs and requests.
- Assists customers with wheelchairs, walkers and mobility support; ensuring the safety of each customer as they enter the facility by preparing a mobility support mode that comfortably meets each customer’s needs as they enter the facility.
- Supports, responds, and reports any customer related incidents in facility entrance or parking areas, ensuring communication incident and provide assistance to customers right away as needed, reporting all incidents to leadership and clinical teams.
- Escorts customers to and from designated locations safely and reliably, ensuring a smooth transition between arrival and patient care areas.
- Reports any safety concerns in facility entrance and parking areas, while maintaining assigned Golf Cart vehicle by conducting pre and post use inspections.
- Maintains Golf Cart vehicle records and logs, and reports related to patience assistance, incidents, and shift activities.
- Responds to customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring to escalate issues to leadership for swift resolution as needed.
- Provides support to additional hospitality functions as assigned to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or transportation-related roles.
- Licensure: Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) maintained.
- Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) HeartSaver CPR AED Course certification within thirty (30) days of start date and maintained.
- Age Requirement: Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older prior to start date.
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate assigned vehicles and assist passengers with varying mobility needs.
- Proficiency in handling customer complaints, concerns and inquiries while maintaining composure and providing excellent service to customers.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered service.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Physical ability to push wheelchairs and assist individuals with entering/exiting vehicles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.
- May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
- May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead.
- May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.
- May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
- Workspace may vary from open to confined.
- May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
