Role

The Customs Systems Trainer will be responsible for creating and implementing a systems training plan for the Customs BU. The individual will be responsible for enhancing the skills and knowledge of employees on both Cargowise and JSM/JIRA.

How you create impact

  • Design training material
  • Conduct trainings for new hires
  • Coordinate trainings with the team leaders and stakeholders to ensure the most effective method for training based on the topic and audience
  • Maintain a training matrix
  • Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses in each team
  • Observe and evaluate results of training programs
  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions for selected individuals
  • Manage implementation of new processes or major changes to existing processes or expansions of existing processes, especially where increase of personnel is required
  • Amending and revising trainings as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment or due to the system updates
  • Having an understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning courses
  • Have agility to comprehend new concepts, content, and processes and convert knowledge into effective training programs and materials
  • Determine overall effectiveness of trainings and make improvements
  • Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
  • Choose appropriate training methods per case (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc)

What we would like you to bring

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar position in the past
  • Preferable to have operational knowledge of either airfreight, sea freight or road freight
  • Experience designing and delivery training programs
  • Expert knowledge of Cargowise
  • Knowledge of JSM/JIRA
  • Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration
  • Fluency in English -both Verbal & Written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
