The Logistics Specialist is responsible for translating operational needs into logistical actions while mitigating risks and ensuring data integrity throughout the supply chain. This salaried role requires a strong understanding of various transportation modes, including LTL, FTL, and parcel, as well as expertise in shipping documentation and logistics processes.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination, preferably within a manufacturing environment, and is proficient in logistics or ERP systems, with experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) considered a plus.
Success in this position depends on excellent communication and problem solving skills, a customer focused mindset, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced setting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all logistical operations.
The Logistics Specialist may occasionally work evenings or weekends to address time sensitive shipping needs or unexpected disruptions, such as coordinating new delivery plans if a carrier delay occurs, to ensure materials reach job sites safely and on schedule.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination (manufacturing experience preferred).
Travel:
up to 25% depending on business needs
Work Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary. Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.
