This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Administration Support for the Oregon State University Alumni Association.

The Oregon State University Alumni Association is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented student to join the Alumni Center team as an Administrative Support Assistant. This part-time position offers hands-on experience in the coordination and operations of a busy event and conference venue.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Flexibility and professionalism are essential in supporting a variety of administrative and customer service tasks.

Position Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service when communicating with clients about event needs
  • Monitor and respond to event inquiries via email and phone
  • Assist with internal and external communications related to event coordination
  • Support room scheduling and maintain event logistics documentation
  • Prepare and distribute the weekly calendar of events
  • Assist with post-event invoicing and client follow-up
  • Provide support to the alumni center team and on other projects as needed

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
  • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
