Job Description
As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the daily operations of La Plume. Working closely with the General Manager, you will help oversee all aspects of service, staff development, and guest relations to ensure an exceptional dining experience that reflects the brand’s high standards.
- Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including floor management, scheduling, and team leadership
- Uphold and model the highest standards of guest service and hospitality
- Lead, train, and mentor FOH staff to ensure consistent performance and engagement
- Assist with financial performance goals, including labor cost management and revenue growth
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that reflects La Plume’s brand and standards
- Collaborate with the culinary and bar teams to ensure seamless service execution
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care, ensuring positive outcomes
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of FOH team members
- Have a strong presence on the floor during service
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a premium casual or upscale dining environment
- Valid Smart Serve Certification
- Strong understanding of service standards, wine knowledge, and restaurant operations
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team with professionalism and positivity
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- A passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and creating memorable guest experiences
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
