Minimum Qualifications:
- Manual dexterity: Eye/hand
- Minimum 2 years’ experience, with construction/equipment.
- Technical school or dealership experience preferred but not required.
- Must have superior cutting and welding skills for field repairs and fabrication.
- Perform the various duties of a mechanic.
Essential Duties:
- Must be able to read and understand operating / maintenance manuals, blue prints and/or technical
- Conduct inspections of company fleet pertaining to on road and off -road equipment in accordance with company policy and / or government jurisdiction
- Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA etc…
- Interact with vehicle/ equipment operators, job site personnel, office assistants, vendors and technical support to help determine level of service and/ or repair needed for equipment and/ or job
- Must know how to operate company equipment to diagnose problems to communicate to Operate and maintain overhead and truck mounted cranes.
- Maintain mechanic’s truck, shop, equipment and tools in a clean, orderly and safe
- Perform field repairs on vehicles and equipment in adverse weather/ environments hot or cold, night or
- Regular attendance required.
- Job requires occasional overtime and weekend work.
