Director Product Engineering - Digital Commerce

We are seeking a results-driven Director, Product Engineering – Digital Commerce (Adobe Commerce) to lead the development and product strategy of our Adobe Commerce storefronts, while also extending leadership to our Customer Portals (built on .NET and Angular). This role combines product management ownership with engineering leadership, ensuring end-to-end accountability for defining the roadmap, aligning with business goals, and delivering world-class digital experiences.

You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with business stakeholders, and set the vision for platforms that drive customer adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in software product engineering, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong track record with Adobe Commerce (Magento), including App Builder, cloud implementations, and integrations.
  • Experience leading .NET/Angular portal development and API-driven microservices.
  • Proven success balancing product management and engineering responsibilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Product Management

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for Adobe Commerce and Customer Portals, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Define and prioritize product features, balancing innovation, technical feasibility, and business value.
  • Translate customer feedback and market insights into requirements and user stories.
  • Drive KPIs such as digital adoption, self-service utilization, customer satisfaction, and revenue impact.

Engineering Leadership

  • Lead Adobe Commerce software development teams, ensuring scalable, extensible, and high-quality solutions.
  • Provide technical direction for Customer Portals (Angular/.NET), including architecture, design, and integration with enterprise systems.
  • Champion DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for reliable deployments.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, and system security.

People & Collaboration

  • Build and mentor high-performing global teams across product and engineering functions.
  • Partner with Product Management, UX, Marketing, Operations, and Security teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • Represent engineering and product roadmaps to executive stakeholders, driving alignment and transparency.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
