Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within our facility, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and that maintenance tasks are scheduled efficiently. This role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, project management, and facilities management, along with excellent leadership and supervisory skills.

This is a 4 month contract with opportunity for extensions

Up to $27.86/hr., depending on experience

Some, minimal travel to sites around Waco may be required (less than 5k miles/yr.)

Typical hours 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all maintenance activities are being completed within the scheduled time.
  • Ensures that maintenance materials and spare parts are properly inventoried and available.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates maintenance activities between maintenance and production team.
  • Supports maintenance supervisor to complete activities with a minimum impact on the process operation.
  • Assists production and technical team to establish preventive maintenance plan and follow-up.
  • Operates the SAP system to ensure that work orders are processed and completed as scheduled.
  • Schedules external vendors for maintenance activities, including PO setup for payment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their applications in manufacturing settings.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and facilities management principles.
  • Experience using CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Excellent leadership skills with prior supervising experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
