Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled mechanics to join our team and play a vital role in the assembly, adjustment, and alignment of mechanical components for lifting equipment. This position involves hands-on work with the latest manufacturing technologies and tools, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our new facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, adjust, and align mechanical components for the erection of lifting equipment.
  • Perform welding of fabricated parts using FCAW (all positions) and SAW processes, as required.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing plans or blueprints in both imperial (inches and feet) and metric systems.
  • Handle and move parts, assemblies, and equipment using overhead cranes, truck lifts, or similar lifting equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in installation, assembly, adjustment, and alignment of mechanical components.
  • Experience as an industrial mechanic, electromechanical assembler, auto or heavy-duty mechanic, military machinery technician, or machinist.
  • Ability to successfully complete welding tests; ASME code certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in the operation of hand and pneumatic tools, including welding equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Lift and overhead crane operation certification.
  • Hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read work instructions and schematics.
  • Experience with electrical and electronic assembly.

Work Environment

Work in our newly launched manufacturing facility. This role involves supporting the fabrication of lifting equipment at our Springfield facility. The environment is dynamic, with opportunities to engage with the latest technologies and collaborate with a dedicated team. Dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on, industrial setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent long term position based out of Springfield, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
